Automation Tools for Creative Industries (AutoRade)
On 26 October 2022, the Limited Liability Company "Higher School of Economics and Culture" (EKA) and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA) signed Contract No 8.2.3.0/22/A/004 for the implementation of the ESF project "Automation Tools for Creative Industries AutoRade".

Main project activities:
  • Development, adaptation and implementation of content, methods and technologies for students' digital skills acquisition, improving existing and developing new B and C courses/modules in seven priority topics for creative industries for the acquisition of automation tools in creative industries and arts study programmes in Latvian universities.
  • Establishment/development of laboratories in 7 priority themes to strengthen the digital capacity of HEIs and to ensure the integration of study processes with digital technologies used in the creative industries.
  • Development or development of 9 digital solutions and platforms to strengthen the digital capacity of HEIs and to deliver digitised study courses.
  • Communication and publicity activities on the digitisation initiatives implemented.
  • Project management and implementation.
Project results:
  • 6 Latvian universities will receive support from the European Social Fund to implement digitisation initiatives to promote modern study processes based on innovative technological solutions.
  • 7 priority thematic areas will have new courses developed or existing courses adapted and integrated into the study process at universities.
  • 9 digital solutions and platforms for education and partner collaboration will be developed;
  • Universities will benefit from new teaching equipment.

Total budget: EUR 1 682 157,84, including:
  • ESF funding of 85% of eligible expenditure or EUR 1 429 834.16;
  • State budget funding is 15% of eligible expenditure or EUR 252 323.68.
Implementation period: 31 October 2022 to 31 December 2023 (14 months)

Operational Programme: 'Growth and Employment' Specific Support Objective 8.2.3 'Ensure better governance in higher education institutions'.
