About Ventspils High Technology Park
What is VHTP?
VHTP is a foundation which contributes to the economy of the city of Ventspils and the Kurzeme region by promoting the development of emerging industries and creation of new well-paid jobs.
Mission, vision and goals
VHTP’s vision is to develop as a well-established, professional and dynamic business support organisation in the Baltic Sea region, which provides all the conditions required for rapid development of businesses operating in the emerging industries.
VHTP’s mission is to promote the development of businesses and products in the emerging industries and to increase competitiveness by providing high-quality infrastructure, services, including business development consultations.
VHTP’s areas of activity
Business support centre
Provides information, consultations and support for the authors of business ideas and new businesses during the start of their ventures.
Property for rent and infrastructure
Provides and develops the Technology Park’s infrastructure and utility services.
Business consulting and digitalization
In Latvia, it is possible to address two European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) to promote the digital transformation of companies - Digitalization of products and services and Digitalization of processes.
Design and prototyping
We have created two production unit rooms with the aim to provide opportunities for anyone interested in bringing their ideas to life. Ventspils design workshop RADE is a workspace equipped with various production units available to all enthusiasts – both individual users and entrepreneurs – willing to design and create their own products. In Ventspils Prototyping Hub it is possible to create parts and prototypes, as well as receive technical consultations in the development and production of prototypes, parts, including the development of 3D models of parts.
Educational technologies
We offer to visit the Future Class and use both self-developed educational technologies (Pratne.Darba burtnīca and Pratne.Karjeras portfolio) as well as applications and software created in foreign countries selected by VATP experts, suitable for use in Latvian educational institutions.
