Discussed development of Ventspils International Radio-Astronomy Centre

On December 15, 2004, Ventspils University College held a conference of the Physics and Technical Sciences Department of the Latvian Academy of Science (LZA). The conference focused on further development of the Ventspils International Radio-Astronomy Centre (VSRC).

Trilateral co-operation agreement signed

On November 24, 2004, in the premises of the Riga Technical University (RTU) in Rīga, a five-year trilateral co-operation agreement was signed between the Chairman of the Ventspils City Council Aivars Lembergs, vice-chancellor of the Ventspils University College (VeA) Jānis Vucāns and the RTU vice-chancellor Ivars Knets.

Ventspils International Radio-Astronomy Centre affiliated to Ventspils University College

On October 26, 2004, The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia adopted a decision on reorganization of the Ventspils International Radio-Astronomy Centre (VIRAC) and its affiliation to Ventspils University College (VeA) as a scientific institute for improvement of research and educational work.
