23 great Pally table pictures have been made within the competition „Become a Pally artist!” organized by the Ventspils enterprise MWF Ltd. within the recent interdisciplinary trade fair „Made in Baltics 2012”. In order to find out author the work of whom will receive the main prize of the competition – the chair Pally – everyone is asked to get introduced with the made drawings and vote for his or her favorite on the Internet sites http://dra.lv/gHHCl9  and www.facebook.com/mwf from April 24 to May 6, this year. The winner is to be announced on May 7.

The aim of the competition “Become a Pally artist!” was not only to introduce visitors of the trade fair “Made in Baltics 2012” with the first design product of the MWF Ltd. chair-toy Pally but also to facilitate children creativity and ability to develop different skills. A special Pally table, surface of which just like the chair’s was made of rounded, colored sticks, was made especially for the purpose of the trade fair. By combining and changing the colored sticks one can get a wide range of different drawings. Thanks to interest and will of the little trade fair visitors to try making a drawing this task often involved entire family and closest friends. Totally 23 great drawings were made on the Pally table, and a photograph of each drawing was taken to post them afterwards on the abovementioned Internet sites. Every competition participant received a gift – tasty milk candies from Saldus Pārtikas kombināts – for patience and activity.

The wood furniture producing enterprise MWF has been established in the middle of 2011 in Ventspils with an aim to create new products of design furniture, as well as to provide producing and availability for consumers of these products. Pally is the first design product of the MWF that according to decision of enterprise’s managers will be put for industrial producing. Day to day the enterprise produces solid wood furniture of different types. The major production is children furniture and exclusive kitchen sets that particularly fit in holiday houses and rest-houses.

The MWF participated in such exhibition for the first time. Participation of the MWF Ltd. in the trade fair was supported by the Ventspils High Technology Park given as a prize for the successful participation in the Kurzeme industrial design exhibition “Elements 2012” on February, this year. Along with Baltics’ farm products, ecological products, meat and dairy products, candies, manufactured goods, cosmetics, textile articles, and design items the Ventspils’ wood furniture producing enterprise earned huge public interest as the MWF Ltd. stand finally gave an opportunity to visitors to try convenient sitting on the Pally chair, making own drawing of the colored sticks, and participating in the competition. Design of the stand was also approved by a business magazine Kapitāls who gave 12-month subscription of the magazine to the MWF Ltd.
