The competition in 2012 was held for the third year in turn. The organizers – the Ventspils High Technology Park (the VHTP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the RL, IdeaHouse Events, and Children’s Science Center Z(in)oo invited all active Latvian pupils to take this great opportunity and get to the international space camp in the USA. 

Submissions for the competition were received by April 2, 2012. But on April 16 they were evaluated by the jury the voting of which defined two winners of the year 2012 – a boy and a girl who were awarded during the special ceremony taking place at the Children’s Science Center Z(in)oo in Cēsis.

Also the most active school the title of which earned Riga State Gymnasium No. 1 was awarded as the most pupils of this school submitted their works for the competition.
