On May 5-6, members of Finnish – Latvian Trade Association visited Ventspils to get introduced to the city and the companies situated here.

The members of Finnish – Latvian association organize annual business trips to Latvia, and this year the destination was Ventspils. As the Public Representative of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in Finland Inguna Žīgure informed, Finnish businessmen expressed their interest in Ventspils after the investment seminar held in Helsinki, where several companies from Ventspils were introduced, and therefore the members of association wanted to see the city in presence.

Finnish businessmen had a tour around Ventspils, got acquainted with the work of Ventspils Free Port and visited Ltd. Dendrolight Latvia, Ltd. Bucher Schoerling Baltic, Ltd. Ventspils elektronikas fabrika and other companies in Ventspils High Technology Park (VHTP) thus getting acquainted with the principles of VHTP’s activity.

Marketing specialist of Ventspils Free Port Authority Zanda Megne informed that Finnish businessmen have expressed great interest in business activity in Ventspils, and the guests were particularly impressed by the new product of Ltd. Dendrolight Latvia. I. Žīgure also confirms that the Finnish businessmen received good impression after spending two days in Ventspils and are willing to keep contacts with Ventspils.

The visit of Finnish – Latvian Trade Association members was organized by Ventspils Free Port Authority in cooperation with Public Representative of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in Finland Inguna Žīgure.
