Ventspils Business Incubator builds up
In July three new companies will be enrolled in the"Ventspils High Technology Park’s Business Incubator".
Out of these three, Ltd. "EuroLCDs" has the greatest ambition - to build a 3D imaging technology factory till summer of 2012. The founders of "EuroLCDs'' are Ltd. "Macro" Rīga, company ''Hornell Teknikinvest AB'', ''LC Tec Holding AB'', and investment fund ''Baltcap''.
As the Chairperson of the Board of VHTP I. Eglājs informed, the main cooperation between VHTP and EuroLCDs will be in designing the specific infrastructure of the new production unit including the ISO Class 7 Cleanroom where the production line will be set. Till the establishment of the separate production unit, the engineers of LCDs will work on design and prototyping of 3D technology products by using the laboratories offered by VHTP.
The freshly founded company Ltd. "Apps and Soft" will be engaged in graphical design, and will create design and contents for mobile applications. The manager of the Apps and Soft is a Danish businessman Michael Myhlenfeldt, who has worked in this field for several years and provides services for Heineken, GN Netcom etc.
The third newcomer in the Business Incubator is Ltd. ParkIT that will concentrate on manufacture of different stainless steel products. The founders Oļegs Ožinskis and Pjotrs Homjaks have created the first prototypes of the parking lot equipment and plan to implement the new product soon.
Business Incubator offers a wide range of services for its customers that ensures a faster and more successful development of the company, including, premises, office equipment, secretariat services, companies can also claim for the state’s financial support up to 85% for advisory services.
Currently in the VHTP Business Incubator are 46 companies, and it has planned to provide support for at least nine new companies till the end of the year.
