Voting for works submitted to competition „We own the sky 2013” has began

At midnight, May 8, there was closing of submissions’ receipt for the youth competition “We own the sky 2013”. In total the competition received 30 very various, interesting, and creative works on subject “Latvia and Space in 2050”. By May 26 everyone can get acquainted with the competition’s works and vote for the favourite one in the site Mumspiederdebesis.lv. The winners – a boy and a girl – will go to an International space camp in the USA.

Competitive dialogue about drafting a Plan for European Cooperating State of European Space Agency

The Competitive dialogue has been carried out within the Contract No. L-KAP-12-0006 of the project No. KAP/2.3.2.3.0/12/01/015 “Space Technologies and Services Cluster Development 2012-2015” of Activity 2.3.2.3 “Cluster Programme”.

Cooperation partners of the Cluster within the project funded by the European Regional Development Fund, “Space Technologies and Services Cluster Development Measures 2012-2015” (hereinafter the Project), according to Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 788 On Activity 2.3.2.3 “Cluster Programme” of Supplement to the Operational Programme “Entrepreneurship and Innovations” have an opportunity to apply for de minimis support (up to 85 %) for the following activities:

ESA will purchase products, technologies, and services form Latvian suppliers in amount of EUR 2 million

On May 6, this year, the European Space Agency (the ESA) will announce the first tender of the Plan of European Cooperating state (PECS) within which the ESA plans to purchase products, technologies, and services from Latvian suppliers.

The tender will be opened for merchants, scientific institutions, higher education institutions, and other legal entities. Tenders must be submitted to the European Space Research and Technology Centre of the ESA being located in the Netherlands by July 1, this year.

The most active Latvian school will receive free tickets to Kurzeme Democentre

 A bit more than a week has left to apply for the competition “We own the sky 2013”. The competition organised by Ventspils High Technology Park is a great chance for a girl and a boy to participate in the International Space camp in the USA. But the most active school from which the most works will be received, this year will get 20 free tickets to the new interactive exhibition of Kurzeme Democentre, “What is music?”.
