Today, the Free Port of Ventspils Authority and SIA “Eurolcds” will sign the Contracts for lease of land and construction of three-dimensional (3D) factory buildings in Ventspils.

The Contracts provide that the factory, according to the order of Ventspils Free Port, will be ready till the autumn of 2012. The chairman of “Eurolcds” Ilmārs Osmanis informed that in the new factory parallel to production of LCD plates, 3D movie glasses and television glasses, and electronics connected with them, will also produce specific multi-plate LCD monitors, which will form 3D images that are seen without glasses and in different perspectives.

Now “Eurolcds” is one of the companies of Ventspils Business incubator.

The group of project implementers work to use the support of Business incubator and form the prototypes of product that later will be produced in the factory.

Explaining why the factory is being built in Ventspils Osmanis stresses three factors – municipality land, the support of Free Port for construction of buildings and Ventspils University College that provides appropriate specialists.

Ventspils Free Port lease 1.47 ha land to “Eurolcds” for production requirements, in Ventspils Free Port territory – Kaiju Street 9, Ventspils. On this land is planned to construct production building in the size of 4300 square meters. The lease Contract of building stipulate that the production building will be constructed according to order of Ventspils Free Port and the company will lease it from Free Port. One of the greatest advantages in the building will be the ISO7 class “cleanroom” in the size of 1800 square meters.
