Good news for those searching for new challenges in order to develop and improve programming skills – the event Coderetreat is to be held in Ventspils for the first time.

Coderetreat is a day long, intensive practice event focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. It is a unique opportunity for all interested to involve in practical lessons oriented towards exchange of experience and knowledge between experts and course participants. Both programmers experienced in programming in Ruby on Rails, PHP, Java, Python, etc. and students of the IT faculty who plan to operate in Information technology sector after receiving a diploma are welcome to take participation in the event. 

Idea about Coderetreat event arose in 2009 during the IT conference „CodeMash”, the USA. In three years the concept of the Coderetreat has proved it as effective way to increase competence of IT specialists, and the Coderetreat is being implemented also in Latvia already since 2011.

The event in Ventspils is organized by the enterprise of the Business Incubator ITH Group in cooperation with the Ventspils High Technology Park, Ventspils University College, and one the biggest IT enterprises in Latvia the Baltic Technology Group within the project „Small Innovative Business Promotion Network (SIB Net)” funded by Estonian–Latvian cross-border cooperation programme.
