Energy Saving Advice Across Borders (Energy Advice)
Objective of the project: The objective of the project “Energy Saving Advice Across Borders” (Energy Advice) is based on a goal to create cross-border awareness raising campaigns on Energy saving benefits to promote in-depth understanding of energy saving and energy efficiency issues. The project objective will be achieved by organizing technically creative workshops for Latvian and Estonian primary school pupils (6th-9th grade) and a cross-border educational competition on energy saving.

Activities of the project:
  • to organize an international and educational competition "Energy Advice" with the aim of promoting the 6-9th class awareness of energy efficiency issues and provide in-depth knowledge;
  • to promote awareness through alternative education and hands-on approach by organizing technical workshops on energy efficiency in Latvian general educational institutions;
  • by using and supplementing the possibilities, capacity and resources of the Science Centre Kurzeme Democentre to provide consistent and long term public educational and informative interactive exhibit that educates and informs target audience on energy efficiency during the project and after completion of the project as well;
  • to ensure active, comprehensive and ongoing publicity of the project, its activities and results for the target audience of the project and for the community as a whole.

Total cost of the project is 259 720,80 EUR; co-funding of the program is 220 762,67 EUR, self-funding is 38 958,13 EUR.
