Cluster’s action plan

The Space Technology Cluster’s action plan includes three lines of activity. Firstly, to promote collaboration, new projects and researches, secondly, to involve cluster in the formation of national space policy, thirdly, to carry out international marketing activities. Basic objectives of Space Technology Cluster were identified within the framework of action plan’s development.

Cluster’s objectives for promoting collaboration, new projects and researches

  • To involve cluster’s participants in the Competence Centre Program, including preparation of application
  • To involve the cluster in international cluster collaboration networks


Cluster’s objectives in order to take part in the formation of national space policy

  • To involve cluster in the State’s space technology development work group, which is under the guidance of  Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Latvia, with an aim to contribute to the formation and implementation of national space policy
  • Write recommendations for State’s space technology development work group

Cluster’s objectives to advance international marketing

  • To promote the collaboration between country of Latvia and European Space Agency
  • To support cluster’s participants in communication with European Space Agency and other organizations of space sector
  • To provide informative events and availability of experts for the cluster’s participants, in order to enhance knowledge and experience
  • To facilitate to the obtaining of associated member status of European Space Agency for the country of Latvia till 2014
  • To facilitate to the obtaining of full member status of European Space Agency for the country of Latvia till 2019
