The new product of furniture producing enterprise MWF chair-toy Pally attracts bigger and bigger attention of travelling Kurzeme industrial design exhibition Elements visitors. Pally differs with its original design and well-considered type of usage – simultaneously it is furniture and a toy helping to develop skills of a child – coordination, imagination, and creative thinking.

Construction of the chair consists of support and seat that unlike conventional traditions is made of many colored wooden sticks that can be moved out. By changing sticks’ location it is possible to make whole spectrum of seat patterns like working with mosaics. By placing all the sticks in the seat, one can make stable and conveniently usable chair.

Board chairwoman of the MWF Ltd. Evita Jansone emphasizes that the chair is absolutely safe and harmless for use and environment. The main raw material is natural wood materials – birch and maple. But colors used in finish correspond to internationally recognized standards. In construction of the seat support where all the sticks can be placed one of the elements is soft porolone ensuring soft sitting for a child.

In the set of the product three samples of seat surface drawings are included for creative inspiration. Besides there is an opportunity to purchase additional sticks in different colors giving chances to diversify composition of surface’s pattern. But if any of the sticks are lost, the producer offers to purchase new ones.

„We have developed also a chair sample of bigger size meant for adults. Its seat is made of a bit more than 200 sticks. Whole family can involve in composition of a pattern, and a child will be glad to make his or her own “drawing” especially for Mom or Dad,” satisfied about the Pally is E. Jansone.

Pally models are currently going through “introduction” stage because opinion of potential users is important for its authors. Opinions and suggestions are being summarized, and already the first export proposals have been expressed. „Very soon we will start industrial producing of the Pally, and then this nice product will freely be available for purchase in retail trade. Currently it can be ordered in our enterprise MWF,” says E. Jansone.

MWF Ltd. is established in the middle of 2011 with an aim to create new design furniture products as well as provide production and availability of these products to consumers. Pally is the first design product of the MWF which is decided by managers of the enterprise to release for industrial production. Day to day the enterprise makes solid wood furniture of different types mainly child furniture and exclusive kitchen units especially fitting in holiday houses and rest-houses.

The travelling Kurzeme industrial design exhibition Elements takes place from January 4 to February 20, this year. From January 19 to 25, it can be seen in Kuldīga, but from February 6 to 20 – in Riga.
