It has become a good tradition for Ventspils High Technology Park (VATP), Kurzeme Business incubator (KBI) and SEB bank (SEB) to organize together the contest „Brave ideas support program”, for the third time already.

Within the framework of Brave Ideas Support Program the authors of business ideas in 2 months time, till November, the 1^st, 2011, have the opportunity to apply for necessary financial support and advice for the development of business.

Within the framework of the contest companies, with age younger than two years, as well as still unregistered - prospective businessmen, that plan to perform economic activities or even perform them in Kurzeme region, have an opportunity to receive financial support for acquisition of consultation, the list of wide and priceless contacts and potential cooperation as well as guidance and assistance of mentor.

Contest „Brave ideas support program” takes place for the third time, and this time organizers also took care of consolation prizes – the author of the best business idea from Northkuzeme and Southkurzeme regions gets a laptop, in turn, the winner of contest gets prize at 1500,00 LVL (before tax payment fixed in legislation of the Republic of Latvia) for the realization of business-plan. Authors of the most prospective business ideas will have a chance to develop their ideas in business incubators or pre-incubators in Kurzeme region.

„Previously organized competitions proved that Kurzeme region has enterprising people with brave ideas and wish to its realization in life; therefore, this year we decided together with co-partners – KBI and SEB to continue started works – provide real support to promotion of competitiveness of companies from Kurzeme region not only in Latvian, but also in export markets. We hope that this time the people of Kurzeme will be likewise active, creative and purposeful. The main condition is that the author of idea truly believes into his/her own idea and wishes to realize the idea– specialists of Business incubator will assist in thorough study of the idea and development of the business plan.” –head of VATP Business incubator Salvis Roga says.
