At the last weekend Ventspils Univeristy College for 48 hours had turned into one of the most intense places in Latvia: shared work of more than 100 progressive minds, high-class mentors, development of perspective IT products, heavy load of wireless internet, big consumption of energy drinks, less sleep, and much fun.

Garage48 Ventspils gathered more than 100 people from 9 countries including such far states as the USA, Morocco, Egypt, Denmark, Sweden, and Slovenia.

Tonight, on May 10, mentors, programmers, web designers, and entrepreneurs not only from Latvia but also from farther regions of the world gather in Block D of Ventspils University College. There are representatives from the USA, Estonia, Denmark, Pakistan, Egypt, Russia, Morocco, United Kingdom, Slovenia, and even India. Currently there are more than 80 participants registered for the famous IT event Garage48, and they are ready to turn their ideas in tangible and creative result in 48 hours.

Today, on May 10, Kurzeme Democentre officially opens a new interactive and fascinating exhibition for everyone “What is music?” Along with the new exhibition, also the existing most popular stands of Democentre – a mobile photo stand and game of mind power – can be seen. All residents and guests of Ventspils are welcome to visit the exhibition with their families, friends, and colleagues. The exhibition will be opened every day in promenade, Ostas iela 23, from 10:00 to 20:00 (also in holidays).

Kurzeme Democentre along with beginning of summer and tourism season has become more accessible to those living and visiting Ventspils offering to see an interactive exhibition and exhibits in new premises at the city promenade – Ostas iela 23, 2^nd floor of Venstpils Business Centre. By the end of September here one can see the existing exhibits of the Democentre, as well as the new interactive exhibition “What is music?”.
